Mrs. Lois Onita "Loni" Suggs, age 92, passed from this life on Wednesday , January 14, 2026 at approximately 3:49 a.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

She was born on February 24, 1933 in Monroe, Michigan Charles Saylor and Aleithia Osa Crist. Both parents preceded her in death.  She was raised by her grandmother Stella Cook Barnhouse who also preceded her in death.

On June 15, 1965 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. James "Jake" P. Suggs, he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Suggs  worked at General Motors Corporation and  was a member of the U.A.W. Local #211.   She was a member of Beulah Chapel Church of Christ.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; David A. Newland of South Carolina.  4 daughters; Linda S. Rowell (George) of Celina, Ohio, Carol A. Campbell, Donna L. Britt and Jaime L. Suggs all of Toledo, Ohio.  13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great  grandchildren. 1 adopted granddaughter.  A brother; Robert Saylor of California.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son; James A. Newland and a daughter; Wendy S. Suggs.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 12: p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Bishop Chester Trail, officiating.

Visitation wake will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the funeral home.
