Ms. Linda Kay Johnson, age 57, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at approximately 1:34 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on March 7, 1960 to the union of Charlie Floyd and Rosie (Jones) Mitchell; both parents preceded her in death.
Ms. Johnson attended New Beginning Church; she was a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree. She retired after over 28 years of service with Montgomery County Department of Children Services. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and she was also a wedding coordinator. Ms. Johnson was an avid garage sale shopper and loved going to consignment shops. She loved decorating her home with unique items and was an outstanding Mother and Grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory a daughter; Andrea L. Johnson of Tampa, Florida and a stepson; Andre Williams of Lima. 2 grandchildren; Titus and Noel. A sister; Joyce A. Boddie of Lima and a special niece; Gwen Upshaw (Lamark) of Lima.
Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Joiner, officiating.
Visitation/Wake will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services entrusted to: JONES-CLARK FUNERAL HOME, INC.
