Mr. Leonard Eugene Ward, Sr., age 64, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 1:51 p.m. at his residence in Lima.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 30, 1951 to the union of James Lewis and Emma M. Harris Ward, both parents are preceded.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory two sons; Richard J. Ward and Leonard E. Ward, Jr. both of Detroit, MI.  A daughter; Leondra Meadows of Detroit, MI.  Two grandchildren; Decarlo and Dvaron.   Four brothers; Ricardo Ward (Debra) of Detroit, MI. Jeff Godsey and Jason Upthegrove both of Lima.  Eric Upthegrove (Marilyn) of Richmond, VA.  A sister; Susan Washington of Atlanta, GA.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Michael Ward.

Memorial  services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward officiating.
