Miss Lavae Monique "Vae Vae" Cowan, age 12, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at approximately 7:45 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

She was born on December 8, 2003 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Troy Lavelle and Felicia Antoinette Watson Cowan; both parents survive in Lima.

Lavae was a 5 ^th grade student at Liberty Arts Magnet where she participated in Band and Choir.  She loved to draw, write in her diary, play video games and give Big Hugs.

Besides her loving parents she leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 sisters;  Angeleta A.J. Cowan and Olivia C. Cowan both of Lima.  Maternal grandparents;  Gloria Watson and Thomas Collier both of Lima.  Maternal great grandmother;  Annie White of Lima.  Paternal grandmother; Ester Wall Orise of Lima.  Paternal great-grandmother; Maxine Alford of Columbia, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her maternal step great-grandfather; Willie White and paternal grandfather; Winifred Cowan.  Her great aunt; Hattie Marie Watson.

Home going services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Minister Shyquavious Gibson, officiating.

Visitation/wake services will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the funeral home.
