L C Boyd Obituary

L.C. Boyd, age 78, passed from this life on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 10:20 a.m. in Lima, Ohio at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.  She was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi on November 15, 1945, to Ben and Lula V. (Brownlow) Chukes.  Both parents preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory a special niece:  Grace Chukes of Lima, Ohio, and a special Nephew Roy Houston of Lima, Ohio.  2 sisters:  Josie "JoJo" Clark of Lima, Ohio, and Maxine Barfield of Englewood, California.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

L.C. is preceded in death by 3 brothers:  Benny Chukes, her twin brother K.C. Chukes, and Robert Mosley.  3 sisters:  Ethel Houston, Ollie Houston, and Mary A. Mosley.

Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. B. Lamont Monford, Sr. officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Saturday, August 31 2024, from 10:00 A.M . until the time of service also at the church.

Interment:  Memorial Park Cemetery
