Mr. Joseph Wesley Edwards, age 83, passed from this life on May 25, 2016 at approximately 2:42 p.m. at Baton Rouge Senior Health Services in Lima.

He was born on March 2, 1933 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Percy Stanley and Willie L. (Macbeth) Edwards, Sr.  His father is deceased and his mother Willie L. Edwards Parker is also deceased.

He was first married to Willie Ruth (Jennings) Edwards and then he married Madgie (Boddie) Edwards both whom preceded him in death.

Mr. Edwards retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service.  He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War; he was a member of V.F.W. 1275 and U.A.W. 1219.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a son; Ronnie Edwards of Lima.  A son-in-law; Clayton Ingram (Cora) of Lima.  6 grandchildren; Tanika, KLaynesha, Tricia, Thomas Cantrell, Dayvon and Salena. 6 great-grandchildren.  A brother; Percy Stanley Edwards, Jr. (Geraldine) of Lima.  A sister; Madeline Parker Haithcock of Lima.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 daughters;  Audrey Marie Ingram and Debra Jean Edwards.    2 brothers;  Henry B. Vaughns and Oliver Vaughns.  2 sisters; Dorothy Ramsey and Virginia E. Downton.

Home going services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. John Kidd, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 also at the funeral home.

Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery
