Mr. Joseph Eugene Clinton Meeks, Jr., age 61, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at approximately 9:52 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima.

He was born on January 9, 1961 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Joseph Eugene Clinton and Lena Mary Helen (Napier) Meeks, Sr.; both parents preceded him in death.

Joseph worked in construction.  He played the Bass guitar and he also was a DJ at many parties and gatherings. Joseph was loved by everybody that knew him and touched the hearts of many people.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a son Lamar Meeks of Lima and a daughter; Candena Owens of Lima.  13 grandchildren.  A brother; Fernando J. Meeks (Gloria) of Lima.  A host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons; Tavarus A. Meeks and Joseph E. Meeks, III.

Home going services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.  with Rev. Austin Lewis, Jr. , officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.
