He was born on May 20, 1955, in Lima, Ohio to John B. and Wylean (King) Miles, Sr.  Both his parents preceded him in death.

In 1982 he was united in holy matrimony to Julia A. (Harvey) Miles.  His wife survives in Lima, Ohio.

Mr. Miles retried from WLIO Television as a Videographer for 30 years.  He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was a recipient of the "Honor Flight" for Veterans.  He was a member of Berean Bible Baptist Church where he served as an Elder.

Besides his loving wife Julia he leaves to cherish his precious memories; 3 children; Towanda Harvey, Jovan Miles and Jondalyn Austin all of Lima, Ohio. 4 grandchildren; Courtney, Tyler, Jace and Jray.  1 great-grandchild; Cody.  2 brothers; John B. "Jake" Miles, Jr. (Willa) and Larry C. Miles (Ann) both of Lima.  2 sisters; Christine Howard  of Austin, Texas and Delores Pittman (William) of Lima, Ohio.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the North Park Community Church with Rev. Charles Dupree and Rev. Calvin Moore officiating.

Visitation/wake will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.

Interment:  Dayton Veterans National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio on Monday, January 26, 2026.
