Mr. Joe Henry Green, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at approximately 11:13 p.m. at James R. Cancer at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born on July 2, 1954 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi to the union of David and Lillian Stamps Green, Sr., both parents preceded him in death.

On March 26, 2011 he was united in holy matrimony to Mary F. Simpson, she survives in Lima.

Mr. Green retired from Dominion East Ohio Gas as an Engineer and was a member of UWUA Local Union G-555.    He was a member of Second Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board.  He loved golfing and family.

Besides his loving wife Mary F. Simpson Green, he leaves to cherish his precious memory a son; Willie D.T. Knight (Rhokia).  2 daughters;  Jessica Hunt (Andre) of Macon, GA and Adrianna Rhodes of Lima. 4 grandchildren.  6 brothers;  Melvin Green (Jurist) of Cleveland, MS.  Richard Green (Vergia) of  Chicago, IL.  David Green, Jr. of Crystal Springs, MS.  Roy Green (Barbara) of Jackson, MS.  Paul Green of Houston, TX and Jimmie Green (Phyllis) Crystal Springs, MS.  5 sisters; Velma Casey  and Dorothy Funchess both of Crystal Springs, MS.  Katherine Green and Ida Green both of Jackson, MS.  Mary Boddie (Leonard) of Brandon, MS.   6 brothers-in-law; Alex Suttle of Dallas, TX.  Darryl Simpson, Terrell Simpson (Valerie), Ricky Simpson, James Simpson, Jr. and Corey Simpson (Tonya) all of Lima. His mother-in-law; Willie M. Simpson of Lima.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Courtney Green and his father-in-law; James E. Simpson, Sr.

Services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward, officiating.
