Mrs. Joanne Louise Gooding,  age 66, passed from this life on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at approximately 6:53 p.m.  at Kindred Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on January 26, 1955 in Lima, Ohio to the union of John Lee and Hazel Elizabeth (Walker) Wilson, Sr.; both parents preceded her in death.

On October 13, 2009 she united in holy matrimony to Mr. Kenneth D. Brooks, Sr., he survives in Lima.

Mrs. Gooding worked in the Dietary Department of Lima Manor Nursing Home.

Besides her husband Kenneth, she leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 sons; William A. Benjamin and Kenneth D. Brooks, II (DeLilsa Smith) both of Lima. 3 daughters; Jueria L. Gooding and Crystal F. Gooding both of Lima.  Raydiance S. Thompson (Remey) of Columbus, OH.  16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  2 brothers; Samuel Wilson of Texas and Franklin Wilson of Columbus, OH.  3 sisters; Marsha Wilson and Linda Wilson both of Columbus, OH.  Janice Wilson of Lima.  A brother-in-law; Ontra Brooks of Lima and a sister-in-law; Carolyn Boyd (Theodore) of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; DeMarko Benjamin and Amari Gooding-Elliott.  A brother; John L. Wilson, Jr. and a sister; Mary Johnson.
