Mr. Jessie James Williams, age 69, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at approximately 3:22 p.m. at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on November 14, 1947 in Phenix City, Alabama to the union of John B. and Mamie Lou (Glenn) Williams; both parents preceded him in death.

On April 24, 1970 he was united in holy matrimony to Barbara A. (Smith) Williams who survives in Lima.

Mr. Williams worked for many construction companies. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides his loving wife Barbara, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons; Demetrius Thompson (Tanya) of Milburn, FL and Tavaris L. Williams (Jennifer) of Lima.  3 daughters;  Tammy L. Williams of Columbus, OH.  Fanitha "Fannie" Nixon (Rondeau) of Lima.  Jessica J. Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN.  11 grandchildren and a great grandchild, Kashton "Baby Cash" Bledsoe.  2 brothers; Edward "Sonny" Lindsay (Katie) of Detroit, MI and Andrew Williams of Columbus, GA.  5 sisters; Mary Britten of Detroit MI, Geneva Williams, Nancy Williams, Pearl Williams and Gloria Jean Booz   all of Columbus, GA.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; LaCricia Williams.  A brother; John D. "Buddah" Williams, 3 sisters; Martha "Ree" Burk, Dorothy Mae Williams and Patricia A. Williams.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Manley, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.
