Mr. Jessie Banks, Jr., age 66, passed from this life on Monday, July 5, 2021 at approximately 12:01 a.m. at his residence in Lima, Ohio surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on December 6, 1954 in Columbus, Georgia to the union of Jessie and Glennie Mae (Thomas) Banks, Sr.  Both parents preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  Mr. Banks retired as a Journeyman at the B. P. Refinery in Lima.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local 372, Lifetime member of American Legion #95 and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He  leaves to cherish his precious memory a special friend; Linda Manley of Lima. A son; Taft Coates of Ft. Wayne, IN.  3 daughters; Jessica N. Upshaw (Floyd), Jammie A. Jeffers (Joseph) both of Lima.  Jennifer L. Banks of Toledo, OH.  13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  3 brothers; Arthur Banks and Willie Banks both of Lima.  Marty Young (Angela) of Cincinnati, OH.  A sister; Dalice C. Banks of Lima. His best friend; Daniel Walton of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Interment :  Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Dayton National Cemetery
