Mrs. Jessie Bell Burge, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 22, 2015 at approximately 7:30 p.m. at her daughter's residence in Lima surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Florence, Alabama on December 15, 1923 to Joe Chandler and Augusta Martin Stewart; both parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. D. L. Burge, he preceded her in death.

She retired from Shawnee Nursing Home as a Nurses Aid.  But through the years she worked at many nursing homes and Memorial Hospital.   She was a hard dependable worker outside the home and a great homemaker within the home. She loved her family and when she made a friend, she kept a friend.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age.  She loved the Lord and was a good example as to what the Lord said; "To love your neighbor as yourself".

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 3 sons; David Lee Burge, Jr. and John Adam Burge both of Lima.  Charles Andrew Burge (Cindy) of Sandusky, Ohio.  A daughter; Mrs. Diane Seay (Larry) of Lima.   A grandson she raised Anthony Cotton of Texas.  39  grandchildren, many many great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.   A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Betty Jo Cotton.  A son; William Gray Burge.  4 brothers; Alexander Lovelace, Tom Stewart, Frank Stewart and Albert Stewart.  A sister; Maggie Lee Denson.
