Jerry Martin "BJ" Woods, III, age 24, passed from this life on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at approximately 4:16 p.m. at  St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on January 21, 1993 in Lima Ohio to   Jerry M. Woods, Jr. and Angela D. Ward.  His mother Angela D. Brown and his stepfather; Emanuel Brown survive in     Lima. His father Jerry M. Woods, Jr. and stepmother Nicole S. Woods also survive in Lima.

Jerry was formerly employed at DTR and was a 2011 Graduate of Lima Senior High School where he played football and basketball.  He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan.  Words  that friends used to describe BJ include, respectful, beautiful smile, goofy, he loved his babies, kind, greedy, God fearing, heart of gold, sugar sharp, very handsome, Lima  Panther, my baby (from Mom), unique sense of humor.

Besides his loving parents he leaves to cherish his   precious memory 2 sons;  Amir L. Woods and Karter J.  Hamman both of Lima.  4 brothers;  X'Zerik A. Woods, DeAngelo L. Woods, Dan'Quis L. Woods and De'Onte McDonald all of Lima.  4 sisters;  X'Zation A. Woods and Ke'Anish Denson both of Lima.  Ja'Laura Woods of Columbus, Ohio and Dominique P. Brown of Tuscaloosa, AL.      Paternal grandparents; Carolyn and Robert Gross of Lima.  Maternal grandparents; Leonard and Gwen Ward of Lima.  His best friends; Devon Johnson, Nick Roach Jalen Hemphill, ReKari Waters.  A host of cousins, aunts, uncles other         relatives and many friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Earnestine Ward and  paternal grandfather; Jerry M. Woods, Sr.
