Mrs. Jency Bell Lurena (Steward) Harris,  age 96, passed from this life on  Monday, September 15,  2025, at approximately 11:13  p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on August 10, 1929 in Mendenhall, Mississippi to the union of William Eugene Steward and Alberta (Dunlap) Steward Marlin.  Both parents preceded her in death.

Mrs. Harris was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Timothy Harris who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Harris was retired and had worked as a cook for Nestle Company, at Child Care Centers, Foster Care Agencies, and The Grace House for Men.   She was a member of Grace Church Worldwide Ministries, she was a wonderful cake decorator and worked in the church kitchen.  Mrs. Harris didn't know a stranger and was loved by many. She truly loved her dogs and cats.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a niece:  Dr. Carol A. Fails (Pastor Ronald) of Lima, Ohio.  3 brothers; William N. Steward (Betty) of Lima, Ohio,  Otis Steward (Teri) of Columbus, Ohio, and Daron Steward (Maureen) of Lowell, Arkansas.  4 sisters; Joyce Williams (Roger) of Sidney, Ohio, Claudia Stockard of Toledo, Ohio, Brenda Steward of Baldwinsville, New York    and Vivian Turner of Miami, Florida.  A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother; William E. Steward and a sister: Willa S. Skipworth.

Services will be held Friday, September 26, 2025  at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries with Pastor Ronald Fails, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025  at 10:00 until time of services also at the Church.

Interment Woodlawn Cemetery
