Jeffery Clyde Baker, age 57, passed away on Thursday,  March 8, 2018  at approximately 10:25  p.m. at his residence in Lima.

Mr.  Baker was born on August 9, 1960   in Lima, Ohio to Jessie Knight and Annie Pernell Baker Smith; both parents are deceased.

He attended Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.  Mr. Baker was a veteran of the United States Air Force, he was also a  member of the V.F.W. Post 1911 and the American Legion in Ft. Wayne, IN.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a wife, Mary Mays Baker of Lima.  2 daughters; Daysha Yarbrough (Will) of Lima and JaNisha Baker of Fairfield, OH.  4 stepsons; Jason Potter of Fairfield, OH. Rev. Raymond Secession (Brenda ) of Olive Branch, Miss., John Mays (Gerry) of Cleveland, OH and Bryan Mays of Lima.  3 stepdaughters; Tammy Mays, Lucinda Mays and Geretta Mays all of Lima.   20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  4 brothers; Thomas Terry (Lenise), Bobby Baker, Samuel Baker and John Baker all of Lima.  A sister; Diane Baker-Burke (Herbert) of Ft. Wayne, IN.  A special friend; Calvin Webb.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers;  Alvin Knight, Ivan Baker and Jerry Williams.

Services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of  Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Austin Lewis, Jr., officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Interment:  Dayton National Cemetery
