Jazlyn Shanae Darby,  age 38, passed from this life on Friday, November 28, 2025 at approximately 8:30 p.m. at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on May 28, 1987  in Lima, Ohio to James Glasco Darby and Dolly May Thompson, both her parents survive in Lima, Ohio.

Jazlyn worked at Aramark Food Service.   She loved to cook, sing and entertain her children. Jazlyn Darby was a born-again child of God and a radiant soul. As a devoted mother, she cherished family time, enjoyed cooking, and loved fun adventures with her children. Jazlyn uplifted everyone around her, leaving a lasting impact with her warmth and positivity. Like a beautiful butterfly, she lit up every room and will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

Besides her loving parents she leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 daughters; Jazelle A. Darby and Joelle A. Darby both of Lima.  2 brothers; Hanz Darby of Lima, Ohio and Tevin white of Cincinnati, Ohio. A sister; LaSheena S. Thompson of Lima, Ohio.  A Godsister; Kortney Walls (Courtney) of Tampa, Florida.  Godmother; Rita Martin of Lima.  Aunts; Linda Scott (Franklin Nwoke) and Cordlia Thompson both of Lima, Ohio.  Jacqueline Griffin of Columbus, Ohio. 3 cousins; Shannon Scott, Jr., Eriq Scott and Caniya Thompson of Columbus, Ohio.  A best friend;  Nicole McNeal of Columbus, Ohio.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Shaun Darby.  Her maternal grandparents; Tate and Augusta Thompson. Her Paternal grandmother; Lillian Darby.

Home Going Services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward, officiating

Visitation/Wake will be held on at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the funeral home.
