Ms. Jannetta B. Gilbert-(Bankston), age 74, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at approximately 11:33 p.m. at The Springs of Lima–Trilogy Health Services surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 16, 1945 in Hazard, Kentucky to the union of Marvin D. Bankston Sr. and Vivian (Gilbert) Bankston; both parents preceded her in death.

Ms. Gilbert worked as the Food Coordinator at the YWCA, she was also the former secretary at Jones Brothers Mortuary.  She was member of Berean Bible Baptist Church and a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Inc; St. Mary's Grand Chapter.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 3 sons; Charles A. Gilbert and Durant F. Gilbert both of Lima.  Dwayne N. Gilbert of Dayton, OH.  2 daughters; DeBorah M. Gilbert-Woodley and Vivian R. Kelley (Eddie) both of Lima.  24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  A brother; Charles E. Bankston (Linda) of Louisville, KY. A host of special sisters, brothers,  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters; Patricia A. Wall, Johnnie M. Fuqua, Barbara Bankston and Sarah Bankston.  2 brothers; Robert T. Bankston and Marvin D. Bankston Jr.

Home going services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Dupree, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
