James Edward Wash, age 90, passed from this life on Friday, December 17, 2022 at his residence in Lima, Ohio.  He was born on April 23, 1932 in Forest, Mississippi to James Evans Wash and Susie (Keys) Wash.  Both parents preceded him in death.

He married Loraine Jones on October 24, 1992, she preceded him in death.

James was a Machine Operator with Ford Motor Company for over 30 years.  He was also a musician with many groups. He was a true business man. He owned his own asphalting business called "We Care Asphalting". James was a genuine spirit and he'll be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by 14 loving children: 3 sons, Orlando E. Wash, Bruce B. Brown and Anthony Benton; 11 daughters, Debra Warren, Veronda K. Wash-Banks, Joyce (Wayne) Wash-Long, Joanne Wash, Karen (Richard) Wash-Burton, Jackie Wash, Lorelita Wash, Rosalind (Lamar)Wash-Walker  LaJoyce Brown, Yvonne E. Roberson, Tuneeka Jones, and Linda (Depree) Manley; 2 sisters, Irma Lee Spivey and Louise Hawkins; a special cousin, Ebony Miles; Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren and Great-Great-Great Children; a special friend, Tina White; 3 fur-babies, Gray, Princess and Black; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He will be reunited with his daughter, Lillie R. Dillard; a son James E. Wash Jr.; 2 sisters, Bessie Shadwick and Pearlie Moore all preceded him in death.
