Mr. James Gunn, age 71, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at approximately 5:33 p.m. at James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born on July 10, 1944 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the union of Robert and Frances Durr Gunn.  His father is deceased and his other Frances M. Durr Gunn Ward is also deceased.

Mr. Gunn leaves to cherish his precious memory 6 sons; Tony Gunn of Columbus, Ohio.  James Gunn, Michael Fisher, James A. Gunn, Robert Gunn and Lenny Gunn all of Lima.  3 daughters; Sharon Fisher, Angela Gunn and Stephanie Spaulding all of Lima.  31 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  3 brothers; Elza M. Ward (Gwendolyn) of Inkester, MI.  Ricky A. Ward of Lima.  Tommie Claiborne of Hagerstown, MD. Garnett Gunn, John Gunn, Stanley Gunn and Robert Gunn, III all of Yazoo City, Mississippi.   A sister;  Glenda F. Ward of Lima.  Dorothy Gunn Pulliam, Victoria Gunn Greene and Carol Gunn Baker all of Yazoo City, Mississippi.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Robert Gunn and Ronnie Ward.  2 sisters; Mae Ward and Brenda Ward.
