Mr. James Brown, age 83, passed from this life on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima.

He was born on March 1, 1933 in Durant, Mississippi to John and Elvira (Tiggs) Brown, his parents preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a sister; Annie Bell Stevens of Lima.  A granddaughter;  Lakesha Thornton.

He was preceded in death by a daughter;  Tina Flint.   4 sisters; Paulene Ellis, Annie Thelma Brown, Virginia McLellan and Tennie Mae Brown and 6 brothers: Will Brown, Lonzo Brown, John Brown, Arthur Brown, J.C. Brown and Mark Brown

Services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Austin Lewis, Jr.,  officiating.
