Ja'Kia Itrece Battle, age 23, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at approximately 2:40 a.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

She was born on January 2, 1998 in Lima, Ohio to the union James and Kimberly Y.  (Davis) Battle, Jr.  Her mother survives in Lima and her father preceded her in death.

Ja'Kia worked as a cashier at Panera Bread.  She loved to sing, rap and primping.

Besides her loving mother Kimberly, she leaves to cherish her precious memory a daughter; Ny'Ajah I. Battle-Gilcrease.  A special uncle; Michael Upshaw (Monet) of Lima.  1 brother; DaVonntae J. Battle of Lima.  Paternal grandmother; Ella Battle of Lima.  Maternal grandmother; Ida L. Garrett of Lima.  A host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by Maternal grandfather; Luscious Upshaw, Jr.  Paternal grandfather; James Battle, Sr.

Home Going Services will be held Friday, October 29, at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries with Pastor Damian Tibbs, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021  at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment:  Woodlawn  Cemetery
