Mr. Herman Tyson, age 61, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at approximately 5:12 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center.

He was born on July 31, 1954 in Harlan, Kentucky to Herbert Ross and Clemmie Jean Tyson; both parents preceded him in death.

On September 27, 2002 he was united in holy matrimony to Corlisa A. Alberty who survives in Lima.

Mr. Tyson was a project manager for Catys Enterprise. He was a member of Cornerstone Harvest Church. He was also the former president and charter member of the local Brothers of the Hammer Motorcycle Club.

Besides his loving wife Corlisa, he leaves to cherish his precious memory; 5 sons; Tory M. Alberty, Damon Sharkey, Herman Tyson, Jr., Tavares R. Tyson and Sherman J. Tyson all of Lima. 2 daughters; KaLesha Tyson of Columbus, Ohio and Klemmie Tyson of Lima. 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 5 brothers; twin Sherman (fiancée Mary) Tyson, of Lima. Ralph Hillman (Rita) of Columbus, Ohio. Lloyd Batty of Joliet, IL. Elton Batty (Annie) and Mark Batty both of Lima. 6 sisters; Gail Hill of Desoto, TX. Romaine Jackson (Leroy), Karen Downton (Robert) and Iris Cousey all of Lima. Deborah Batty of Florence, AL and Janice Savage (Mark) of Crowley, TX. His mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law Mamie Stapleton (Curtis) of Lima.
