Mr. Henry "Bud" William Thomas, age 76, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at approximately 12:01 p.m.at his residence in Lima, OH.  He was married to Katie P. Johnson for 48 years.  She preceded him in death.

He was born on December 28, 1946 in Lima, Ohio to Theatt Thomas, Sr. and Dorothy Lee (Maddox) Thomas.  Both parents preceded him in death.

Henry "Bud" was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam.  He was a member of the Circle of Trust.  Mr. Thomas graduated from Bath High School where he was an honor student and star athlete.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons: Jason (Anitra) W. Thomas and Aaron M. Thomas, both of Lima, OH.  1 daughter: Armeatha Thomas of Toledo, OH. 5 grandchildren:  Aamiyah, Aaliyah, William, Jason T., and Teaira. 2 great grandchildren: one unborn and Remidi.  3 brothers:  Joe (Theresa) Thomas of Dayton, OH; Verzonda Thomas of Toledo, OH; and Robert E. Thomas of Lima, OH.  2 sisters:  Rev. Dr. Cecelia Williams of Cleveland, OH and Judy A. Thomas of Dayton, OH.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Henry "Sly" William Thomas, Jr.; a brother, Theatt Thomas, Jr. and a sister, Mary R. Thomas.
