Obituary for Harriett Rose Cook

Harriett Rose Cook, age 96, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:47 p.m. at Lima Convalescent Nursing Home in Lima, OH.  She was born in Sheffield, AL to Henry Deloney and Julia Lee Hooks.  Both parents preceded her in death.  She was married to Johnnie Cook who preceded her death.

Harriett retired as a cook for Old Barn Outback after 15 years of service.  She was a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church.  Harriett was a member of Lima's Red Hats and the HYHO Club.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 1 daughter:  Harriet C. Rice of Sterling, MI.  2 Step-children:  Michael Cook of Atlanta, GA and Deborah Tibbs of Lima, OH.  7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons: Charles Cleveland Carlisle and Coburn 'Pete" Arthur Carlisle; a daughter Julia Rose Washington; and a brother George "Sunny" William Ricks.

Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Madison officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Jones-Clark Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with family present 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Interment:   Woodlawn Cemetery
