Mrs. Hannah Mae Howard, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at approximately 4:14 a.m. at her residence in Lima, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1939 in Florence, Alabama to the union of Rufus and Eddie Mae (Turner) Brown; both parents preceded her in death.  She was raised by an aunt and uncle; Mattie and Jack Perkins whom also preceded her in death.

On November 22, 1996 she was united in Holy matrimony to Mr. Innis Howard who preceded her in death on February 13, 2002.

At an early age Hannah joined Good Hope Church in Florence, AL.  Later when she moved to Lima she attended Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church, joined Mt. Olivet GOGIC. Hannah went on to join Fellowship Baptist Church.

Hannah worked at many known restaurants in Lima, such as Alpine Village, Milano's and Burgundy Restaurant, as the Best Cook in Lima.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 4 sons; James O. Irons, Jeffrey L. Irons, Kayne Irons, III all of Lima.  Eric O. (Crystal) Irons of Columbus, OH.  2 Stepsons:  Sammie L. Howard and Justin Irons both of Lima.  4 daughters; Mattie J. (Terry) Thompson of Florence, AL, Cora L.(Clayton) Ingram, Julia A. (Willie) Jackson, and Linda D. Irons all of Lima. 33 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. 1 brother; Rufus Brown, 5 sisters; Marie Poole, Alice Thompson, Nettie Malone, Ruth (Wesley) Butler and Violene (George) Scott all of Florence, AL.  5 special sons; Larry Turner, David Turner, Corey Simpson, Carlos Harmon and Ted Boyd.   3 brothers-in-law; Bert O. Irons, John L. (Cammie) Irons of Lima.  William T. (Connie) Irons of Atlantic, GA.  8 sisters-in-law; Sallie L. Martin, Hattie J. Irons, Shirley M. Humphries all of Lima.  Selena I. Ricks, Karen L. Key all of Florence, AL.  Julia M. McKnight of Orlando, FL, Bridgett B. Irons of Manteca, CA and, Betty R. Davidson of Tuscumbia, AL.

Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by a son; Jamien LaWon Irons, daughter; Loretta Irons., 2 sisters; Veola Thompson and Mary Page.  A brother; James Perkins, 8 brothers-in-law; Walter Poole, Tom Thompson, Ruben Thompson, Otis Malone, Arnell Irons, Sr., Leo Jerome Irons, Louise Humphries, Larry Davidson.  4 sisters-in-law; Genevia Reeder, Jackie Summerhill, Sam Ella Irons and Carrie Irons.

Services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at New Hope  Missionary Baptist Church with  Rev. Wesley Thompson   officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Services entrusted to: JONES-CLARK FUNERAL HOME, INC.
