Obituary

Hajah Rosie Hasan Muhammad, age 73, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at approximately 7:09 a.m. at her residence in Lima, Ohio, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on May 31, 1943 in Florence, Alabama to the union of Harvey and Oddie B. (Turner) Shears; both parents preceded her in death.

She worked as a Traveling Dietician.  She was on the Advisory Board of Rhodes State College.  She received two associate degrees from Rhodes State College, one in Art and another in Science.  She was a member of the Islamic Center of Lima.  She was an avid bowling and competed in State and National Bowling Tournaments.  She loved to play the piano and cook.

Hajah Rosie leaves to cherish her precious memory 3 sons; Frederick L. Shears, Dondi D. Muhammad (Zohra) and Andre` L. Ramsey (Sherlina) all of Lima.  A daughter; Blonda  K. Griffith (Carlton) of Ft. Washington, MD.   9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  3 brothers; Jaami Muhammad (Halima) of Ann Arbor, MI.  Tommy Lee Shears (Doris) of Columbus, OH and Ralph B. Shears of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a son; Christopher A. Shears.  A  brother;  Harvey J. Shears, Jr. and a sister; Annie P. Shears.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Iman Jaami Muhammed, officiating.

Interment  -  Woodlawn Cemetery
