On Wednesday October 23, 2024 Gwendolyn McLaurine gained her wings. She was born January 30, 1970 in Lima, Ohio to Helen McLaurine and M C George McLaurine. She graduated from Lima Senior as Valedictorian class of 1988. She then went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree from Lourdes University in Toledo, Ohio and was working towards her Masters. She was a member and Elder at Friendship Baptist Church, where she was ordained in the ministry. She enjoyed spreading the word and love of God. She retired from working for the City of Toledo for over 15 years, was a very passionate woman who loved her ministry and who touched many.

She is survived by her two children, Sharayne Thompson(Antoinne) and Teresa McLaurine, six grandchildren Tanyia McLaurine, Don'Tae  McLaurine, Rihanna Johnson, Ni'Angel Oliver, Khy'Leigh Oliver and  Khyree Oliver; her mother, Helen Mclaurine 8 brothers  Eddie Pritchett, Aaron McLaurine (Veronica), George McLaurine, Norvinna McLaurine,  Jeremiah McLaurine, Mike Harvey, David Harvey and Demetrius Harvey; 10 Sisters; Margie Pritchett, Darlene Pritchett-Pitts, Mary McLaurine-Glover, Marian McLaurine-Wrice (Stacy) Hannah McLaurine(Billie) Nellie Morgan, Linda Harvey, Tracey Harvey (Darryl Tolbert),MaryAnn Johnson-Lail(Adam); 2 sisters-in-law; Ella Mae McLaurin and Edna McLaurin.

Preceded in death by father M.C. George McLaurine, 8 brothers: Paul Henry Mclaurin, Albert Perry, W.E. McLaurin, Sam McLaurin, Archie McLaurin, George McLaurin, Jr., James McLaurin and Frederick McLaurin and 3 sisters; Sherry Pritchett-Johnson, Lou Ethel McLaurin, Martha Edwards. Her presence, beautiful smile, love, and laughter will truly be missed. Forever in our hearts let the angels sing fly high Gwen.

Home Going Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Toledo, Ohio with Bishop Duane C. Tisdale officiating.

Visitation/Wake Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., also at the church.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
