Obituary for Gridale Lee Cunningham

Gridale Lee Cunnigham, age 69, passed away from this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at her residence in Lima, Ohio surrounded by loved ones.

Gridale L. Cuningham, respectfully known as "Shirley", was born on March 18, 1954, in Florence, Alabama to the union of Ola and Ruth (Bowens) Cunningham; both parents preceded her in death.  She was united in Lima with the love of her life, Gregory Dee Davis, who also proceeded in her death.

Shirley retired from Champayne Residential Services.  She also spent endless hours volunteering where she left a lasting impression on many.  She was a fun, loving person who loved to entertain.  She was devoted to Christ and was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church.  Shirley spent the balance of her life enjoying her family making them smile and laugh with her wholesome heart and loving spirit.

She will continue to live in the hearts and minds of her family and friends.  She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters; Lakisha Cunningham of Murfreesboro, TN, Tanesha (Tyrone) Williams of Cleveland, OH, and a son; Gregory D. Cunningham of Lima, OH.  Grandchildren; T'Ana Cuningham, Torrick Cunningham, Tyrone Williams, Jr., Tyah Williams, Ejon Woods, and Kennedy Cunningham.  Great grandchild; Mia Cunningham.  Brothers; Laymon (Queen) Cunningham, and Michael (Bessie) Cunningham.  Sisters; Mattie Cunnigham and Jeanette (Nelson) Fuqua.  Sisters-in-law; Janie Cunningham and Mary Cunningham.

She proceeded in death sisters, Ruby Thornton, and Barbara Fuqua.  Brother; Hilton Cunningham, Samuel Cunningham, Jim Cunningham, and James "Rip" Cunningham.

Home Going Services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Arnold Manley officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.

Interment:  Memorial Park Cemetery
