Mrs. Grace Amanda Potts, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at approximately 3:16 p.m. at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on July 3, 1926 in Griffin, Georgia to the union of John Thomas and Amanda L.  Ward, Jr., both parents preceded her in death.

On December 27, 1946 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Walter C. Potts they were married for 68 beautiful years.  He survives in Lima.

Mrs. Potts was a homemaker and office manager for Potts Electrical Service.    She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.  She was a member of the Blue Star Mothers, she volunteered at St. Rita's Medical Center and she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Frontiers Club called the Yokettes.  She was a devoted mother, wife, sister and grandmother and will be truly missed by all those who loved her.

Besides her loving husband Walter she leaves to cherish her precious memory 3 sons; Gary A. Potts, Sr. and Donald Potts both of Lima.  Michael W. Potts of Haymarket, VA.   3 daughters; Elaine C. Potts and Michele K. Potts both of Lima.  Diane L. Hampton (William) of Atlanta, GA.   A special daughter;  Jeanette West of Lima.  10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Marcia Potts and 2 sisters; Mary L. Ward Williamson and Catherine Ward
