Mr. Gordon Eugene Haithcock, Sr.,  age 86, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at approximately 4:12 p.m. at  Springview Manor Nursing Home in Lima.

Mr. Haithcock was born on January 17, 1930 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Harold L. and Ethel Louise Barnett Haithcock, Sr.  His father and his mother Ethel L. Barnett Haithcock Macklin both preceded him in death.

On July 5, 1964 he was united in holy matrimony to Madeline L. Parker Haithcock who survives in Lima.

He worked as a Safety and Health Manager with the United States Postal Services for over 40 years, overseeing 5 states.  He also worked 10 years as office manager for the Second Ward Alderman, Madeline E. Haithcock in Chicago, IL.  He was a past master with Samuel W. Clark Masonic Lodge #67 and a  32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was an avid runner and he loved to fish. Mr. Haithcock was baptized at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago.

Besides his loving wife Madeline he leaves to cherish his precious memory a son;  Keith A. Perkins (Lisa R.) of  Dayton.  A daughter; Tanya D. Haithcock of Lima.  10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  A brother;  Harold L. Haithcock, Jr. of Lima.  A sister;  Hildegard C. Watkins of Lima.  A host of nieces, nephews   other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Stephanie A. Haithcock and Roslyn K. Downton.  A son; Gordon E.  Haithcock, Jr.  A granddaughter; Rashonda Haithcock.  2 brothers;  John D. Haithcock and Robert T. Haithcock.
