Gary Edward Simmons, age 72, entered eternal rest with our Lord and Savior on December 4, 2021.  He was born on July 23, 1949 in Columbus, GA to the union of Jordan and Dennie (Nathan) Simmons.  Both parents and his brother Larry Curtis Simmons proceeded him in death.

Gary was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served on the Men's Ministry, Kitchen Committee and the Fundraising Committee.   He also was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, two sisters Arnetia (Jonathan) Radar of Helena, AK and Josephine Simmons of Toledo, OH, and a sister in-law Lillian Simmons of Lima, OH.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Gary's heavenly 73rd birthday, July 23, 2022 in Lima, Ohio. Gd
