Mrs. Esther Mae Napier, age  84, passed from this life on Monday, November 12, 2018 at approximately 5:20 p.m. at her residence in Lima surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on September 1, 1934 in Florence, Alabama to the union of Emmitt and Eliza (Skipworth) Doxie; both parents preceded her in death.

In 1951 she was united in holy matrimony to Arthur J. Napier, Sr.  who preceded her in death in 1976.

Mrs. Napier retired from Ford Motor Company as a cook for over 25 years. She was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board, Kitchen Club and the Food Pantry.

She  leaves to cherish her precious memory 5 sons; Anthony G. Napier (Pamela), Vincent L. Napier (LaShonda), Wallace E. Napier and Floyd E. Napier all of Lima.  Frederick O. Napier of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  A daughter; Ellaphine Napier of Lima.  A  daughter-in-law; Laura Napier of Lima. 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. A brother; Howard Doxie (Geraldine) of Saginaw, MI.  2 sisters; Sarah Johnson and Christine Livingston both of Saginaw, MI.  A sister-in-law; Hattie Doxie of Saginaw, MI.

She was preceded in death 2 sons; Arthur J . Napier, Jr. and Earl L. Napier.  4 brothers; Tom Doxie, Robert L. Doxie, Emmett Doxie and Joseph Doxie.  1 sister;  Alma J. Pitts.

Home Going Services will be held Monday, November 19, 2018  at 12:00 noon at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. H. Frank Taylor, Jr. , officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018  at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
