Estella Mae Woodley, age 99, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at approximately 7:40 p.m. at Baton Rouge Health Services Community.
She was born on September 14, 1914 in Augusta, Georgia to the union of Horace and Cora Taylor Carter, both parents preceded her in death.
Ms. Woodley retired from Westinghouse as a winder for over 26 years. She was a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory 7 nieces; Priscilla Kessler, Cora Jane VanLierop, June Carter, Joan Carter, Jill Carter, Donna J. Carter and Kayla Carter. 4 nephews; Steven Kessler, Casey Carter, Jeffery Kessler and Victor Flint. Adopted grandson; Douglas Mosley. Friends; Berniece Moten and Rowena Broyles both whom cared for her. A host of grandnieces, grandnephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; Horace L. Carter, Ingram Carter, Casey Carter and Leroy Carter. Two sisters; Mary Alice Kessler and Izola D. Mallore.
