Emmett Lane, age 83, passed from this life at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Saturday,  September 17, 2022 at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.

He was born in Jakin, Georgia on October 18, 1938 to Ernest and Chaney (Clark) Lane, Sr.  Both parents preceded him in death.

Emmett retired from the Easter Tire Company with over 40 years of service.  He was a member of Philippian M.B.C. and the VFW Auxiliary #1275.  Emmett enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and most of all, he enjoyed watching his "westerns".

He leaves to cherish his memory 2 sons: Johnny (Katrina) Williams and Donnel Smith, both of Lima, OH.  2 daughters: Annie R. (Ralph) Florek and Gail (Gregory) Johnson, both of Lima, OH.  1 sister: Neotha Paden of Lima, OH.  18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  A host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Antionio Lane.  6 sisters: Eunice Lane, Alice Lane, Lillie M. Everett, Virginia Lane, Louise Lane, and Essie M. Barnes.  6 brothers: Ernest Lane, Sr., Robert Lane, Marcellus Lane, Edward Lane, Eddie B. Lane, and Collin Lane.

Home going services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Philippian M.B.C. with Rev. Dr. B. Lamont Monford, Sr. officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. until time of the services at the church.
