Elnathan Stapleton, age 85, passed from this life at approximately 3:00  p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at  St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on September 22, 1936 in Mendenhall, Mississippi to Johnnie Robert and Minnie Mae (Mcaffie) Stapleton; both parents preceded him in death.

He was united in holy matrimony to Tammy Osberry; she survives in Lima.

He is survived by his wife Tammy Stapleton, 6 children; Marilyn Stapleton, Brittany Osberry, Joshua Stevens, Aaron Riley, Jasmine Osberry and Amber Osberry.  Siblings; Curtis L. Stapleton, Harold M. Stapleton, Jessie Tha Howell, Odessa Stapleton Brown (Sammie), Johnnie R. Bluford.  2 Sisters-in-law; Annie Smith and Marsha Stapleton. Brother-in-law; Nathaniel Anderson. He leaves a host of nieces and nephews to lovingly remember "Uncle Nate".

He was preceded in death by his son; Larry Stapleton, Maternal grandmother; Elvie Russell.  Siblings; Evelyn Benton-Mines, Johnathan Stapleton, Gertrude Anderson, Christine Walton and Robert G. Stapleton. Sister-in-law; Mamie Stapleton.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
