Elder James Leon Wilkerson, age 60, passed from this life on Friday January 25, 2019 at Lima Manor.

He was born on March 3rd, 1958 in Lima, Ohio to Charlie and Earnestine (Haywood)  Wilkerson; both parents preceded him in death.

Elder Wilkerson graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School in 1976.  He attended Ohio State University and formerly worked at General Motors Corporation in Defiance, Ohio.  Elder Wilkerson worked effortlessly for the community in Lima. In 2014, he founded "Without

Walls" a shelter for those in need.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, stepmother; Nancy Wilkerson, 3 brothers; Charles (Patricia) Wilkerson, Anthony (Brenda) Wilkerson and Kevin (Jennifer) Wilkerson all of Lima. A stepbrother; Michael (Carmen) Jones of Lima, OH. 2 sisters; Pamela (Lorrin) Coefield of Ellenwood, GA and Patricia (Ron) Sherwood of East Point, GA. A stepsister; Alicia (Greg) Anderson of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews and family members.

He was preceded in death by his stepsister; Connie Jones

Home going services will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Christian Ministries with Rev. Damian Tibbs, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on, Friday, February 1, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church

Interment :  Memorial Park Cemetery
