Mrs. Edwina Theresa Johnson, age 91, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at approximately 11:35 p.m. at her residence in Lima surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born on July 28, 1926  in Iuka, Mississippi to Will C. and Mable E. (Brown) Thomas, Sr.; both parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony on July 28, 1951 to Mr. Mark S. Johnson; he preceded her in death on November 13, 1991.

Mrs. Johnson retired as a Window Dresser at Petries Clothing Store.  She was a member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory; a daughter; Charlene E. "Peaches" (John) Adams of Lima.  14 grandchidren, 40 great grandchildren, 33 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.  3 sisters; Harrold Lene Choice of Newark, Ohio.  Betty M. Murphy of Milwaukee, WI  and  E. Jayne McCullough of Toledo, OH.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son; Eldridge K. Johnson.  Granddaughter; Earica L. Herbert.  2 great grandchildren. Charles McDonald, Jr. and Eric Herbert.  A brother; Will Thomas, Jr.  4 sisters;  Willie M. Fisher, Emma H. Richardson, Norma J. Brown and Mabel A. Cherry.

Services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John E. Kidd, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services  also at the Church.

Interment:  Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery  - Toledo, OH
