Eddie Lee "Fast" Braxton, age 65, passed from this life on Friday, June 26, 2015 at approximately 8:53 a.m. at his residence in Lima.

Mr. Braxton was born on December 17, 1949 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the union of Henry James and Mary Eliza Brown Braxton, Sr.; both parents preceded him in death.

He was formerly married to Julie Walker who survives in Fremont, Ohio.

Mr. Braxton formerly was employed at Plastipak. He was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church and he loved Sports.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a son; Brian Newell of Lima.  3 daughters; Shenice Raggs of Chicago, Illinois.  Kenya Newell and Jessica Walker both of Columbus, Ohio. Fifteen  grandchildren. A brother:  Tommie Lee Braxton of Greenwood, Mississippi. 5 sisters;  Readie L. Lucas of Lima.  Cora Tims, Georgia Tate (Champ), Minnie Lee Nellum and Louvenia Williams all of Greenwood, Mississippi. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.  2 brothers; Henry J. Braxton, Jr. and Elijah Braxton.
