Mr. Earl J. March, age 80, passed from this life on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at approximately 4:54 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

He was born on October 19, 1945, in Shelby, North Carolina, to Earlie and Jessie Mae (Thompson) March. Both his parents preceded him in death. He was saved in 1975.

On July 2, 1994, he was united in holy matrimony to Sylvia Warford, who survives in Lima.

Mr. March was a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Motors Corporation after over 23 years of service. He attended Philippian Missionary Baptist Church and V.F.W. #1274. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and all outdoor activities.

Besides his loving wife, Sylvia March, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons: David L. (Christa) March, Sr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Kito D. (LeJeune) March, Sr. of Rochester, New York. Three daughters: Wanda L. Frazier of Warner Robins, Georgia, Kadishe T. March of Sidney, Ohio, and Noelle V. (Rapheal Randall) Warford of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two brothers: Rufus March and Floyd March, both of Peoria, Illinois. Three sisters: Jessie Ann (Joe) Bricker of Peoria, Illinois, Katy Ann (William) Wyche of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Mary Ann March of Youngstown, Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce W. Hawthorne, and a brother, Thomas March.

Home Going Services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. B. Lamont Monford, Sr., officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services, also at the Church.

Interment with full Military Honors will be held at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
