Earl Joe Fuqua, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 1:56 a.m. at his residence in Lima, Ohio.  He was born on December 21, 1946, to Joseph and Caroline (Bowen) Fuqua.  Both parents preceded him in death.

On July 18, 1973, he was united in holy matrimony to Patty Lee Luckett.  She preceded him in death on December 25, 2021.

Earl was self-employed.  Earl was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  1 son:  Shane Fuqua of Lima, OH.  2 daughters:  Shwana Fuqua of Columbus, OH and Shalonda Fuqua of Lima, OH.  1 sister:  Pearlene Fuqua of Florence, AL.  7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  A host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by a son:  Shawn Fuqua.  3 brothers:  Charles Nance, Forest Nance, and Royce Nance.  5 sisters:  Mary Howell, Velma Marie Roach, Willie Mae Fuqua, Joyce Ann Webster, and Mollie Johnson.

Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Jones-Clark Funeral Home with Rev. James Bolling officiating.

Visitation/Wake Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, also at the funeral home.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
