David Washington, age 72, peacefully departed this life on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 8:35 a.m. at Cridersville Healthcare in Cridersville, Ohio.

David was born on May 23, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, to the union of James Harrison and Agnus Washington, both of whom preceded him in death.

David dedicated many years of service to volunteering at St. Rita’s Medical Center, where his generosity, compassion, and caring nature were evident through his willingness to give his time to others. His commitment to serving his community reflected the kindness and thoughtfulness he carried throughout his life. David was also a devoted member of Beverly Memorial Church of God in Christ, where his faith remained an important part of his life.

David leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, David Dale (Yanna), of Detroit, Michigan; three grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him and deeply miss his presence.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

David will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and years of service to others. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
