David was introduced to this world on August 14, 1952 in Lima, Ohio.  He exited from heart failure on June 13 ^th at St. Rita's medical Center.  His 20 year partner, Erin Heft was at his side.

His mother Anna Pierson (Clemons) still lives in Lima as does his sister Mykel Pierson  His dad, William Pierson died at home in 2011.  Both of his grandmothers Annie Clemons and Julia Johnson are pushing up daises.  Dave E. Person, Jr. is David's only offspring which he sired with Carmen Pierson (Rivera).  His five grandchildren; Jovan, Yasmein, Jada, Aria and Amaya who died in 2012, live in Columbus, OH.

David had so much awesomeness and will be greatly missed by all of us that knew and loved him.  David lived on his own terms being a 31 year cancer survivor and loving life.  He spent many years with Lucent Technologies, producing photography and being a man of independent means.  We that that he is smiling and snickering at us as we say our goodbyes.
