Mr. David Garner, Jr., age 72, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2016 at approximately 2:56 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

He was born on January 15, 1944 in Drew, Mississippi to the union of David and Ethel Lee (Hodges) Garner, Sr.  His father preceded him in death and his mother Ethel Lee Davis also preceded him in death.   He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle Leroy and Darlene Young who survive in Lima.

Mr. Garner was employed at Lima Cement Products.  He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved to play Softball and was formerly a member of "Jacks Club".

He leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons;  Ajelous Kelly and David Smith both of Lima.  4 daughters;  Tina Garner, Ebony Garner, and Candace Smith all of Lima.  Bryell Skinner of Cleveland, OH.  13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchidren.  7 brothers; Frank Davis, Nathan Davis and J. D. Davis all of Houston, TX.  Adam Davis and Melvin Davis both of Hughes, Ark.  Robert Davis and James Davis both of Dallas, TX.  3 sisters;  Nellie Bailey of Hughes, Ark, Vertis Ealiz of San Antonio, TX and Ruby Young Robbins of Toledo, OH.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Curtis Davis.
