Darren Quante Obrien  Harris, age 41, passed from this life on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at approximately 1:14 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on July 16, 1977 in Mound Bayou, Mississippi to David Douglas and Rosemary Harris.  His mother Rosemary (Harris) Petty survives in Lima and his father survives in  Shelby, Mississippi.

Darren loved playing basketball, fishing, watching Michigan football and playing his Xbox online.

Besides his loving parents he leaves to cherish his precious memory a son:  Darren Q. Harris, II of Lima.  2 daughters; McKenah Harris and Vanessa Harris both of Lima.   Brother; Derrick Petty of Lima.  2 sisters; Ronnesha Marshall of Lima and Melissa Marshall of Hampton, VA.  Olivia Gibson the Mother of his children and her daughter who he helped raise; Shayna Coil.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

Home going services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.  at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Robert Toney, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on  Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.  until time of services at 12:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.

Interment  - Woodlawn Cemetery
