Daniel Martin West Obituary

Daniel M. West, age 70, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 18, 2024.  He was born November 8, 1953, in Xenia, Ohio to Joseph and Virginia (Austin) West.

He was a member of Zion Baptist Church where he served many years as Financial Secretary and on the Trustee Board.

Daniel graduated from Xenia High School in 1972.  He also graduated from Central State University with a degree in Business where he was also employed in numerous positions.  His final position at Central State was as Assistant Director to the Financial Aid Department.  He completed his working career as a substitute teacher with Xenia Community Schools and the Dayton Public Schools.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years. Chrystal (Mitchell) West, a son Ryan, a sister Gwendolyn Canada, and grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Joseph West, Jr.
