Curtis James Dunlap, Sr. Obituary

Curtis James Dunlap, Sr., age 67, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Springfield Regional Hospital in Springfield, Ohio.  He was born on October 6, 1956, in Greenwood, Mississippi to Preston and Angie (Journey) Dunlap.  Both parents preceded him in death.

Curtis was a former minister at the prison.  He was very active in helping the homeless in the community.

He leaves to cherish his memory 3 children:  2 sons:  Curtis J. Dunlap, Jr. in Greenwood, MS, and Brandon Dunlap of Springfield, OH.  1 daughter:  Deandra S. Dunlap of Springfield, OH.  2 sisters:  Alice M. Ball of Lima, OH and Mary Martinez of Greenwood, MS.  1 brother:  Freddie Dunlap of Decatur, IN.  16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren.  Ex-wife, Valerie D. McGraw of Springfield, OH.  A host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Curtis is preceded in death by 2 brothers:  Larry Dunlap and Tommie Dunlap.  1 sister:  Mattie Forrest-Luster.
