Cloria Deloris Jones Obituary

Cloria Deloris Jones, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. at her residence in Lima, Ohio.  She was born on May 30, 1930, to Hubbert and Esther (Brannon) Harris in Hurtsboro, Alabama.  Both parents preceded her in death.  Cloria was married to James Jones who preceded her in death.

She worked at New Method Laundry.  Cloria was a Charter member along with her late husband of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  They purchased the first piano for the church.  She was the oldest member of the church.  Cloria enjoyed going to the Allen County Council on Aging Elderly Daycare.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  3 nieces:  Cynthia Scales; Linda Lawrence; and Gwen Lawrence.  3 nephews:  Larry Mason; Artillus Foster; and a special nephew, Quincy Scales.  2 sisters:  Queenie Lawrence and Leola Scott, both of Lima, OH.  A host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by a sister Helen Roberts and 2 brothers:  Sam Harris and Bill Harris.
