Mr. Charles Benjamin Wilkerson, age 69, peacefully passed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio.

Charles was born on March 4, 1957, in Lima, Ohio, to Charlie and Earnestine (Haywood) Wilkerson. Both parents preceded him in death.

Charles was a proud graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. Following high school, he went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army.

Charles enjoyed life and found joy in the simple things. In his free time, he could often be found watching sports, as he was an avid fan. He also enjoyed barbecuing while listening to music and singing along to his favorite songs. Charles especially loved playing cards and enjoyed the laughter, fellowship, and good times shared around the table with family and friends. His love for family was evident in the way he lived his life and cared for those around him.

On August 18, 1986, Charles entered into holy matrimony with Patricia Nathan. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and family. Their years together were filled with cherished memories and a lasting bond.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Patricia; four sons, Dale, LaMont, Daniel, and Charles, Jr.; stepmother, Nancy Wilkerson; two brothers, Anthony (Brenda) Wilkerson and Kevin (Jennifer) Wilkerson, all of Lima; stepbrother, Michael (Carmen) Jones of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Pamela (Lorrin) Coefield of Ellenwood, Georgia, and Patricia (Ron) Sherwood of East Point, Georgia; stepsister, Alicia (Greg) Anderson of Lima; and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, James Wilkerson, and stepsister, Connie Jones.

Services for Charles Benjamin Wilkerson will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Jones-Clark Funeral Home Chapel. With viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment: Dayton National Cemetery.
