Mr. Charlie Lee Daniel, Jr. (Charles) passed from this life on Tuesday,  April 3, 2024 at approximately 1:40  a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System under Bridge Hospice Care.

He was born on March 23, 1944 in Seale, Alabama to Charlie Lee Daniel Sr. and Luvenia (Toney) Daniel; both parents preceded him in death.

On November 21, 1974 he was married to Sonya (Ragland) Daniel; she preceded him in death.

At an early age Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.  He was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and he later became an employee at Nickel Steel Foundry.

He loved to cook, BBQ, fish, wash his truck, talk smack to  everyone, listen to his blues, spend time with family and his life partner of 21 years Annie Porter who survives in Lima.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory sons; Rodney (Andrea) Daniel of Columbus, GA, Samuel Simpson, Jr., Quincy Daniel and Sam Robinson all of Lima.  Daughters; Jackie (Kenneth) Miller, Alice Phillips both of Phenix City, AL.  Guyzella Daniel and Brittney Simpson both of Lima, OH.  25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, a special cousin; Rev. Robert Toney of Seale, AL, a son of the heart;  Alloyious  Walker of Lima, and a  host of nieces and nephews other       relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; a daughter; Cynthia Simpson and a grandson; Carlton "CJ" Martin, 2 great grandchildren, and a sister; Mary Ann Austin.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Austin Lewis, Jr., officiating.

Military Honors will be performed by V.F.W. Post 1275

Visitation wake will be held at  10:00 a.m. until time of services  also in the Chapel.
